big jumps are back!
Sorry for the long delay and the bad camera phone pictures, but our biggest jumps will open tomorrow, 3/25. We finished as much shaping today as was possible until the snow got too sticky for cat work. Hollywood will put his touch on them tonight for their grand opening tomorrow. The double line is bigger than anything we've built off of Accelerator but not quite as big as what we used to build on 49ner in the CORE park. They should be fun lap-able jumps for those inclined(and capable!) for such things as hucking off pro size jumps. For those not yet up the task of these big jumps there are two lower entries into the jib and medium jumplines below, plus there will be the superpipe when it re-opens as another option to the XL jumps. The first jump is a true step down and the second is half table/half step down. Pipe may re-open tomorrow as well. So disregard to beat appearance in the photos because Jay was still cutting and I have some more work in there tomorrow am before it possibly re-opens. The pipe has taken a beating since the zaugg cat when down awhile ago and it hasn't had regular TLC like it usually would. It has taken some time to get the zaugg hooked up to a different cat and getting it working properly. Today we chainsawed the walls straight and did as much work as one can do before it turns into a total rebuild. Some more grade work tomorrow and some more cutting to the east wall and the pipe will be as good as new for the rest of the season..straight as an arrow and super smooth. We are going to be adding as much as we can to the park lines off Accelerator for the rest of the season for maximum park shredding after Dutchman closes on the 29th. We'll keep you posted on the additions as they come.-E

the new lower night jib park is sicktor!
So finished the complete rebuild of all of our park lines last night. Everything is on point from the Shred park on the Dutchman, the Core park on 49ner, the superpipe, Acceletron jumpline, KidzX and the lower night park. We went a little crazy with the zaugg in the lower night. The top half is a tranny riders dream come true. On the left coming out of the pipe you have a roller tranny wall, turning into a bowl corner, feeding into a wallride that follows into a tranny hip ending as a mini pipe wall. Coming to the right out of the superpipe you are meet with a full zaugg QP that hips into another mini pipe wall. Between the two mini walls we set up the pyramid podium box. The rest you can see int he picture. As we continue to get more snow, look for these trannies to extend the whole length of the lower night park

big snow is here
looks like the forecast is going to play out as promised:today 11"

So when visibility allows we will continue farming snow into the upper 3jumps of the Acceletron line to get the spacing better and adjust the heights to get the flow as good as possible. Our forecaster is also saying the snow will continue through the end of next week so until it stops the superpipe is going to continue to sit collecting snow until the weather allows for the rebuild back to 18ft...we waved good bye to the 22fter yesterday as it was loaded on a truck heading to the tour finals in Killington.
Once all these storms pass we should be well on our way to a full build out of the all mtn park...BX course, bmx jump lines, rail alley, the CORE park on 49ner, mini pipe, new lower night, new Shred park out on Lost Dutchman and of course the Acceletron jumpline.

park update: new snow just doesn't stop
With 20' in tonight's forecast and another 8' tomorrow it was time to pull the plug on a full rebuild. All of the existing park out front that we all know and love from opening day is now gone except for one flat box. The Kidz X park is still up on the right side of castle peak for all the little shredders. The Night Park below the soon to be superpipe will be closed for construction with a late Friday opening. The upper jumps will be seeing some cat time with the new snow but they wont open until possibly the weekend as we are going to make more snow for them starting tomorrow AM through sometime Saturday just because you can never have enough snow. Hollywood will put his touch on the 4 pack but don't expect it to be back in prime condition until after the storm blows out this weekend. The superpipe is only a few days away...I'll make an official announcement once I get past the point of no return. Oh the joy of building and maintaining park when you get nearly 7 ft of snow in a little over a weeks time. The long range is calling for some nice extended weather after these last two storms blow through so then it will be game on......In the meantime..GO RIDE POWDER!

the 4 pack
We've gotten a good start on the new Acceletron Jumpline. With more snow in the forecast and continued snowmaking on the upper section it wont be long before we add 2 to 3 more jumps to the line. Our goal is to have a line of 7....5 medium table or slightly step over style followed by a solid step down and finished off by a solid step up. Cat work on the upper jumps will start tomorrow along with work on the superpipe. We want to have the top jumps finished by early in the week before the big storm that is forecasted hits us.

park update
Sorry for the lack of reports form the the world of Boreal's parks, we have been just a little busy these last two days. Here's the most recent update...it snowed a ton and now it is colder than you can imagine. The snow making has been running wide open since Sat morning and this now 5 day long snow making session has been the most productive in Boreals history. As of today we have enough snow for the superpipe, we are about one day away from opening the lower half of the Acceletron Jump line, the upper half should open with the superpipe sometime next week, and the lower night park will open on Friday.Labels: newschoolers, park update
