The BOREAL PARK staff takes their job seriously, with Boreal having one of the original parks in the world they have alot of history to live up to. Park riding was born at Boreal in the days of Jamie Lynn, Noah Salasnek and Jim Rippey. But enough of 1994, you can experience the future of park riding right now at Boreal…its not uncommon to see Antti Autti boosting in the pipe or Nickie V. and the Dangerzone blogging it up in the CORE park. The staff prides themselves not only on providing a stomping grounds for today’s top pros but for everyone who enjoys a good day in the park. You can find features for all abilities strategically placed among Boreal’s full network of parks. From simple ride-on features, the superpipe, jibs of all sizes/shapes, SBX course and to jumps, Boreal’s park network has a feature for you to have fun on and progress your riding.

The Boreal PARK NETWORK is made up of 4 zones, each of a distinct style and size.

  • MINI-SHRED PARK:  A great place for anyone just getting started as a park rider, young or old.  Micro jumps, ride-on jibs, micro pipe and other micro sized snow features  all designed and built to help develop basic park skills.
*Located front and center in the base area and serviced by the Castle Peak Quad from 9am to 9pm.
  • SHRED PARK: Young, old, beginner or Pro…everyone likes to SHRED. Must be why the  SHRED park just keeps getting more and more popular every year and with good reason.  The terrain has perfect flow, not too fast and not too slow…just right.  The feature size is the same as well, not too big and not too small…just right.  Perfect  for a mellow, fun, cruiser style park that everyone can have fun on.  Aspiring park riders can get their skills dialed in the the tons of medium size jibs and jumps all lined up in classic straight ahead form from top to bottom of the mainline run.  Beginners also have two newly expanded MINI-SHRED style lines to choose from.  The SBX course runs top to bottom in the natural gully.  And PROs and wannabe PROs will be stoked to find heaps of skate style jib and snow features out in newly expanded areas to the west.  This will be new the spot for our famous BMX rhythm lines,  snow butter pads and urban jib-able objects.
*Serviced by the Lost Dutchman Triple.  Take the Accelerator Quad to the top and then follow the signs along the ridge to the SHREAD park entrance
  • CORE PARK:  Are you CORE ?  If you are, then front and center under the Accelerator Quad is your park to see be seen in.   Hot laps on the high speed quad mean lots of park laps.  But not only does Accelerator get you to the top fast, it takes you right over all of the action splitting the Acceletron Jump line and the Superpipe.
COREPIPE- The action usually heats up early in the morning with the SUPERPIPE.  With Coaches and Parents looking on,  its training ground zero for Tahoe’s up and coming pipe rippers.  But don’t let that scare you.  The pipe scene at Boreal rocks whether or not you’re training for the upcoming Grand Prix or just out to make some laps on your lunch break on after school.  The pipe jocks at Boreal are a welcoming bunch with one thing in common, they all love to ride a good pipe.  So when the pipe is prime the sessions go off! The superpipe is NOT regularly open for nights due to the grooming requiremnents to ensure its in tip top shape for the following day.  However when snow and weather conditions are just right it may be open.  Best chances for this are early in the season when temps are cold and consistent from day to night.  Sign up for TXT Alerts and you’ll instantly know when we know if the pipe will be open any given night.
COREJUMPLINE- By mid day the pipe sessions start to cool off but by then the Acceletron Jump Line starts to come into its own.  Our two biggest Pro jumps at the top next to superpipe followed by up to 4 medium size tables with up to 3 smaller sidecar options offer a full range to find that perfect size jump for you.  The lower jumps are open 9am-9pm weather and snow conditions permitting.  The Pro size jumps are regularly closed for night riding. But if the snow and weather conditions allow they may be open for limited use.  Sign up for TXT Alerts and we’ll keep you in the know as soon it is known that they will be open any given night.
COREJIBS- Below the superpipe are all things jib and tranny.  Nothing like the classic straight ahead style of the Mainline jibs in the SHRED park,  here everything has more of a skate park feel.  At first glance you’ll notice tranny in every corner we can possiblity squeeze it into.  Most of the jibs are designed into the various trannies.  You’ll find lots of wallride, stall and transfer style features.  Not to say that you’ll never find a traditional rail of box in here, there are a few to cover the basics and add variety.  But the design of this park is about creativity as a rider and finding your own line.  And we make that easy with a great mix of jibs, trannies, and the occasional hip/spine/jump as it is all inter connected.  When fully built as designed at peak season it almost seems to be one huge feature rather than a collection of separate features.
  • JIBASSIC PARK:  JIBASSIC is our late season contest and event arena.  As the contest action starts to heat up in the spring this arena gets reworked and re-designed constantly.  But why should you care about it if you don’t compete?  Well, the areana is open to the public outside of the scheduled event times.  That means you regularly get access to a constantly changing shredtastic venue.  Creativity in the arena is at an all time high.  You never know what we might put in for the next event!  To get an idea of what JIBASSIC is all about check out the Smokin’ Pool Party from last spring.
