Not only did Boreal create the first park in Tahoe way back in 1992, but Boreal was also home to both the first pipe dragon and super dragon in Northen California (in fact our superdragon was the original prototype) . Times have changed and dragons are now extinct and zauggs rule the mountains. A zaugg pipe monster now calls Boreal home and what a home it is! We’ve invested heavily in in-ground dirt work and additional snow making firepower to get it going as early as possible each season.

Many of Tahoe’s up and coming pipe riders can be scene regularly training at Boreal. When in Boreal’s pipe you never know when you might riding along side a National Champion, X-games medalist or World Cup competitor.
We take our superpipe very seriously. Depending on weather and rider use, the superpipe will be closed for grooming 2-6pm daily to ensure the best possible conditions for the next day. Night operation of the superpipe is not on a regular basis. Only when there is cold and consistent temps between day and night is there an opportunity to reopen the pipe for night without impacting its riding condition the following day. Best chances of these conditions are early in the season. Please sign up for TXT Alerts if you don’t want to miss out on possible night sessions in the pipe. We will send out the alerts as soon as it is know if we will re-open the pipe on any given night.
